Brookline Arrests: Drug Deals, Bike Bandits, Stealthy Shoplifters
Reports for July 20 - 24.

The following reports detail all Brookline Police Department arrests from July 20 through 24. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
Tuesday, July 20
- Suspended License – Ebelio Padilla, 21, of 41 Clifford St., Apt. 1, New Bedford, was arrested around 7:30 a.m. near 748 Boylston St. and charged with speeding and operating after suspension. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrest.
- Shoplifting – Seneca Troy Johnson, 33, of 54 Corona St., Dorchester, and Chad Patrick Weekley, 34, of 54 Waldeck St., Apt. 2, Dorchester, were arrested around 2:15 p.m. at 294 Harvard St. and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property. Police were called to the Harvard Street CVS Pharmacy in Coolidge Corner around 1:20 p.m. after employees reported two shoplifters fleeing the store. When police caught up with Weekley, he was reportedly carrying a box filled with more than $250 in stolen merchandise, including sticks of deodorant, energy drinks and pain relievers. Johnson was not carrying any merchandise when he was stopped at the Coolidge Corner T Stop, but police reported that store surveillance footage showed him meeting with Johnson outside the CVS before both men fled. - Rape, Prostitution Charges – Raphael Gonzalez, 58, or 42 Beacon St., Apt. 1, Chelsea, was arrested around 10:45 a.m. and charged with rape, distribution of class B substance, and deriving support from a prostitute. Read the full story. Detective Kenneth McHugh made the arrest.
- Wanted Man – Monte C. Venezia, a 50-year-old homeless man, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. on Babcock Street on warrants for criminal harassment, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and intimidating a witness. Read the full story. Officer David Cheung made the arrest.
- Heroin Bust – David Tesik-Gliken, 30, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. near Amory and Thatcher streets on a warrant for receiving stolen property and charged with possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute, conspiring to violate drug laws, conspiring to violate drug laws in a school zone. Yan A. Demyanov, 31, of 121 Tremont St. B6, Brighton, and Daniel M. Dychman, 29, of 24 Church St., 32, Watertown, were charged with conspiring to violate drug laws and bring present where heroin is kept. Read the full story. - Drugs a Plenty – Christopher Michael Wright, 24, of 82 Light Guard Drive, Medford, was arrested around 4 a.m. on Summit Avenue and charged with possession of Class B, D and E drugs. Police reportedly encountered Wright after an officer observed another man sitting alone in a darkened car at the top of Corey Hill after and pacing Summit Avenue while talking on his cell phone. Wright later joined the man in the car, which reportedly smelled of marijuana, and was questioned by police, who eventually recovered several different kinds of drugs from Wright, the car and the surrounding area, according to a police report. The man observed sitting in the car earlier was eventually released. Officer Noah Brother made the arrest.
- Shoe Heist – Regina Lenay Armstrong, 23, of 10 Thorn St., Apt. 10, Hyde Park, was arrested around 11:45 a.m. at 525 Harvard St. and charged with shoplifting. An employee reportedly observed Armstrong take offer her sandals in the shoe aisle of T.J. Maxx and attempt to walk out of the store with a new pair of shoes. Officer Joseph Amendola made the arrest.
- Warrant Arrest – Derek John Agresti, a 40-year-old homeless man, was arrested around 5:45 p.m. at 1330 Beacon Street on a warrant for failure to appear. Officer Dana Inchierca made the arrest.
- Fake Cheques – Sabrina Joyce Santos, 53, of 50 Farlawn Avenue, Apt. D8, Mattapan, was arrested around 8 p.m. at 294 Harvard St. and charged with forgery, uttering forged instruments and larceny by false pretenses. Santos was reportedly stopped on Harvard Street after a cashier recognized a traveler's cheque she was trying to cash as a forgery. The store manger reported that Santos had previously used another $100 traveler's cheque at the store that was returned by the bank, and police believe she pulled a similar stunt at T.J. Maxx as well. Officer Michael Heavey made the arrest.
- Suspended License – Ali Lindo, 23, or 335 Shawmut Ave. Apt. 13, Roxbury, was arrested near Beacon and Buswell streets and charged with operating after suspension. Detective Matthew McDonnell made the arrest.
- Alleged Bike Bandits – Danny Duarte, 19, of 435 Walnut Ave., Apt. 10, Roxbury, was arrested around 5 a.m. near Brooke Street and Hurd Road and charged with receiving stolen property worth more than $250 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Duarte's alleged accomplice, a 14-year old Roxbury boy who name was not released because of his age, was also charged with receiving stolen property. The teenagers were arrested after they were allegedly spotted on a pair of stolen bicycles. Read the full story. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrests.
- Domestic Assault & Battery – Achille Christopher Gelin, 23, of 74 Elm Hill Ave., Dorchester, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. near Aspinwall and Brookline avenues and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrests.
- Officer Nearly Run Over – Anthony Larffarello, 45, of 99A Old Ironsides Way, Apt. A, Charlestown, was arrested around 11 a.m. near 1125 Boylston St. and charged with speeding, operating to endanger and failing to stop for police. Police were operating a speed trap on Route 9 near the Newton border when an officer reportedly clocked Larffarello driving around 67 mph in an area with a posted limit of 40 mph. The officer stepped into the roadway to stop him, but Larffarello allegedly ignored him and sped on, forcing the officer to step out of the way. Larffarello was stopped and arrested a short time later in Newton. Officer John Canney made the arrest.
- Wrong Use of Keyboard Cleaner – Scott William Blake, 36, of 22 Stoughton St., Medford, was arrested around 4:20 p.m. in Riverway Park and charged with inhaling a toxic substance. An officer reportedly found Blake covered in dirt and mud, holding his dentures in one hand and huffing a can of computer keyboard cleaner with the other. Police found five other cans of cleaner nearby. Officer Robert Teahan made the arrest.
