"The intent of the update is to provide more controls regarding waste storage, placement and security, with an emphasis on dumpsters in order to mitigate rodent activity," town officials said in a statement.
The statement continued: "The draft regulations require more information and controls for private dumpsters, such as providing owner and hauler information so that it is easier to communicate with residents/businesses when problems arise."
