“As a singer, psychologist and lung cancer survivor myself, I know first-hand the importance of early detection and treatment,” says Hildy Grossman, President, Founder and Artistic Director of ULC, who will also perform at the event with her jazz group, the Follen Angels. “We want to change the public’s perception about lung cancer. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or smoking history. There is a growing number of young people developing this disease, and it is powerful for young people to have a voice to help raise awareness and funds to help lung cancer become a survivable illness.”

These young musicians perform songs from pop, jazz, American Songbook, Latin and rock ‘n’ roll repertoire to spread the word that anyone can get lung cancer. Currently, more lives are lost to lung cancer than breast, ovarian, uterine and colon cancer combined. ULC partners with California-based Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF) to join hands across America, promoting research and treatment for young adults with lung cancer.
