Brookline Ice Storm: Public Schools, Libraries Closed Friday
The day will be treated as a traditional snow day with no instruction for students and will be made up at the end of the school year.
BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Public Schools are closed Friday due to icy weather conditions, said Superintendent Linus Guillory.
The day will be treated as a traditional snow day with no instruction for students and will be made up at the end of the school year in June.
"The forecast calls for ice and freezing rain which will make travel very difficult,” said Guillory in an announcement. "After close consultation with the Brookline Department of Public Works, I have determined that the safest decision is to close schools."
