Brookline Library Delays Due Dates, Offers Library Cards For Kids
The library said it will also offer museum passes soon.

BROOKLINE, MA — The Public Library of Brookline has extended due dates for checked-out books, but that delay will not hinder school students' access to library cards this year.
In a letter to patrons on Monday, the library announced due dates have been extended to Nov. 2. A reopening date for in-person library visits has not been announced.
In the letter, director Sara Slymon said the library, while closed to the public, is still working to expand its offerings.

The letter also asked community members and patrons to refrain from making donations of magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias due to limited space. Other books and materials can be donated at the Brookline Village location.
"We miss all of our patrons terribly, although we have been glad to see some of you through the plexiglass and across the tables as you pick up your holds," Slymon wrote.
