Brookline Offers Chromebooks To Students To Borrow
The Public Schools of Brookline have made resources available to help students and parents cope with the interruption to students' learning.

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline school officials announced they are providing Chromebooks for families who don't have a working device in an effort to help students access academic learning materials during the three-week school closure.
As of Wednesday, there are 256 cases of coronavirus across the commonwealth. That number includes seven cases in Brookline, according to the Department of Brookline Public Health.
Officials are encouraging residents to practice social distancing, or keeping about 6-feet away from those who do not live in your household, not to set play dates, go to playgrounds or gather in groups larger than 10.

While not intended as substitutes for classroom instruction, the school materials from Chromebooks on loan to online materials, are meant to help families with opportunities to support their children’s learning while they are away from school, officials said.
Educators and school district staff are working on figuring out how to engage with students while schools are closed.
