BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Police Chief Jennifer Paster and her children are featured in a new safe-driving public service announcement that has launched on media outlets across the state.
Sponsored by the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, the spot features a shot of Paster's children leaving their house for school, followed by a message from the chief about the importance of drivers being extra careful on the roads as students return to the classroom.
"As a mom, nothing is as important as my children. And as a police chief, it's not just my kids I worry about, it's yours too," Paster says in the PSA.

Paster continues: "School is back in session. So, while our kids are focused on the books, let's stay focused on the roads. Put down the phones, watch out for crosswalks, give buses plenty of space. And let's give our kids the right start — drive smart."
Paster was promoted to chief of police of the Brookline Police Department in April. She began serving as the acting chief of police in August 2022.
