In addition, they must also have at least one full year of experience as a full-time police officer. Despite being a Civil Service department, applications for transfers from non-Civil Service departments may be considered."We are seeking officers who are proactive, community policing orientated with proven reliability and problem-solving skills," the department said in a statement.Interested candidates can submit a letter of interest and a resume to Detective Sergeant and Office Employment Coordinator Chris Malinn at <a href="mailto:cmalinn@brooklinema.gov" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">cmalinn@brooklinema.gov</a>. The deadline to apply is Monday, Sept. 8. The salary for Brookline patrol officers currently between $81,168 to $130,463.
