Brookline Police Were On High Alert During Jewish Holiday: Report
The town does have a large community of Jewish people.

BROOKLINE, MA — The police department increased its presence at Temple Ohabei Shalom for the Yom Kippur holiday this week, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.
The department aims to stay more connected with local religious leaders in light of the deadly synagogue shooting that just took place in England on Yom Kippur. While there were no known threats in Brookline during the holiday, Deputy Superintendent Paul Campbell said the emphasis was necessary to maximize safety.
