
Firefighters quickly knocked down a two-alarm fire on Kent Street Thursday. The fire reportedly started in the basement and worked its way up the building. By 3:20 p.m., the fire was largely knocked down, though firefighters continues to search the building.
Aside from the fire itself, first responders are dealing with the intense cold. As of 3:20 p.m. it was 20 degrees in Broookline, which felt like 4 degrees due to the wind chill factor.
