Five Things, April 30: Expect Explosions from Muddy River Project
Here are five things you need to know today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high near 66. The evening will be clear with a low of 42.
2. Blasting Today: Be ready to hear loud bangs three times a day starting April 30, all due to the Muddy River Restoration Project. Todays are scheduled for between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.. Please don’t panic if you hear loud explosions.
3. Talk--Still the best medicine: Last week's events have left many of us reeling with many emotions, thoughts and questions. Come talk. Free drop-in groups are being held at BGSP, 1581 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, this week and next week. For directions click here.

4. POETRY BROOKLINE: Poetry Brookline is a new project that invites you to create and submit poems, songs, and art about Brookline places or people.
5. Studios Without Walls presents "Through the Trees": "Through the Trees", an outdoor exhibition of temporary art by sculptors of Studios Without Walls at Riverway Park along Brookline's Muddy River. As the Muddy River Restoration Project in Fredrick Law Olmstead's historic Emerald Necklace gets underway, twelve artists explore site-responsive sculptural works with the parkland's resident trees.
