Why Go: Brookline High’s choreography class will performs an original dance concert inspired by music, poetry and improvisation.

Why Go: Brookline High’s Four a cappella groups will perform a range of songs from pop radio hits to classical compositions. The school’s improv troupe, Needs Improvement, will also make an appearance.

Where/When: Various locations, March 19 and 20
Why Go: Check the Brookline Patch event calendar for a variety of Megillah readings and costume parades at temples around Brookline.

Why Go: Temple Emeth’s Annual Purim Carnival will feature game booths, face painting, moon walk, raffles and refreshments.

Where/When: United Parish in Brookline, March 20, 12:30 p.m.
Why Go: Susan DeSelms will present a lecture titled “The Son of Man: Modern Sacred Masterpiece” this Sunday as the United Parish of Brookline prepares for the world premier of “The Son of Man,” a choral work composed by Emmy nomiee Kareem Roustom. The piece will be performed by the church’s Chancel Choir in May.
