Renew US Endorses Brookline’s Raul Fernandez For State Rep.

BROOKLINE, MA — Renew US, a national organization dedicated to building a multi-racial, working class movement to advance progressive policies, has endorsed Raul Fernandez for State Representative in Brookline’s 15th Norfolk District.

“Renew US is thrilled to endorse Raul Fernandez to represent Brookline's 15th Norfolk District. He's demonstrated a unique ability to build broad coalitions and deliver on transformative policy, and we're confident he'll be an exceptional State Representative," Renew US said in their endorsement.

“I’m incredibly proud to receive the endorsement of such a values-aligned organization,” Fernandez said in a statement. “This campaign has been all about building multiracial, multigenerational power, and I’m proud to join a slate of progressive candidates across the United States who share that guiding principle.”

In addition to Renew US, Fernandez has also been endorsed by Neighbor to Neighbor Action Fund, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, SEIU Local 509, SEIU Local 888, Progressive Mass, Mass Alliance, Act on Mass, Incorruptible Mass, Brookline for Racial Justice and Equity, and the Brookline Equity Coalition.

He’s also received endorsements from community leader Julie Johnson, two-term State Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, Brookline Select Board member and 2020 Congressional candidate Jesse Mermell, former Congressman Joe Kennedy, Brookline Public Health Advisory Council Chair and 2020 Congressional candidate Natalia Linos, Brookline Select Board Member Dr. Miriam Aschkenasy, 28 locally elected officials including Cambridge Mayor Submul Siddiqui, Brookline School Committee Members Suzanne Federspiel and Mariah Nobrega, and Brookline Asian American Family Network Chair Chi Chi Wu.
