Reproductive Equity Now Endorses Brookline Rep. Tommy Vitolo
Vitolo has been endorsed by the organization for each of his three elections.

BROOKLINE, MA — Reproductive Equity Now has endorsed Representative Tommy Vitolo's re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Reproductive Equity Now is a nonprofit organization works to make equitable access to reproductive health care a reality for all people regardless of their race, ethnicity, income, zip code, gender, age, immigration status, ability, sexual orientation, or religion. Advancing reproductive justice and eliminating barriers to safe, legal abortion care are central to its mission.
"Tommy Vitolo was an ardent supporter of the ROE Act that safeguarded abortion access in Massachusetts," Rebecca Hart Holder, Executive Director of Reproductive Equity Now, said in a statement. "Tommy knows that abortion is health care and will continue to fight for policy to realize true reproductive equity for all.”

In the late 1960s, activists came together to make abortion legal in Massachusetts under the banner of the Massachusetts Organization to Repeal Abortion Laws or MORAL. Incorporated in 1972, MORAL evolved and grew, eventually becoming an affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America. In 2021, their partnership with NARAL Pro-Choice America ended and they became Reproductive Equity Now.
"Reproductive Equity Now is the powerhouse pro-choice advocacy organization in Massachusetts, essential for shaping both the ROE Act last session and An Act expanding protections for reproductive and gender-affirming care, both now law,” Vitolo said in a statement. "I will always fight to ensure reproductive freedom, and I'm just honored to have Reproductive Equity Now's endorsement.”

In addition to Reproductive Equity Now, Vitolo has been endorsed by gubernatorial candidate Maura Healey, 80 percent of the Select Board, 80 percent of all town-wide elected officials including all elected chairs, and 75 percent of Town Meeting Members. He's been endorsed by Senator Cindy Creem, former Governor Mike Dukakis, former MA-4 Congressman Barney Frank, philanthropist Chobee Hoy, Senior Center Board of Directors President Betsy Pollock, Climate Action Brookline Co-chairs Susan Martin and John Harris, over two dozen former Select Board and School Committee Members, three former Brookline State Representatives, and four former Brookline principals.
Vitolo has also been endorsed by Brookline PAX, the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund, the Boston Teachers Union, Iron Workers Local 7, 1199SEIU, SEIU NAGE, Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, Boston Carmen's Union Local 589, Laborers Local 22, the Mass Organization of State Engineers and Scientists, and the Massachusetts Voters for Animals.
