Today is Thursday, March 7. Here are 5 things you need to know:

• Snow likely: Looks like we will probably get some snow today. According to the National Weather Service there is a 90 percent chance of snow with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible. High temperature today near 35 degrees. Snow likely tonight with a low around 31. It will also be blustery with wind gusts as high as 37 miles per hour. 

• Public meetings: The Conservation Commission-Bylaw Subcommittee is meeting at 4 p.m. in the Conservation office in the Town Hall Annex. The Planning Board is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.

• Great decisions - Humanitarian Intervention: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a "Great Decisions 2013: Humanitarian Intervention " discussion at 10:30 a.m. today. The discussions will be led by Dr. Craig Brandt, a former naval officer who has been a professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology and dean of academic affairs at the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management. Adults of all levels of knowledge and background are welcome to attend.

• Taste of Asia: The Burlington Public Library is also hosting a "Taste of Asia" event at 7 p.m. as part of Burlington Reads 2013, sponsored by the Burlington Breakfast Rotary. Burlington chef and Asian food enthusiast Max Gow will give an overview of Asian food, explaining regional differences and the differences between Chinese and Japanese cooking styles. He will also make dumplings and participants will have a chance to taste the food. Event is free and open to all. 

• History trivia: The Burlington Historical Society is holding a “Trivia Night – All About Burlington” event at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) in the Human Services Building. Everyone is invited and the cost is $2.
