Today is Wednesday, March 13. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Mostly sunny: Looks like a pretty nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 52 degrees. Windy with gusts as high as 21 miles per hour. A slight chance of showers after midnight tonight, otherwise mostly cloudy. Overnight low around 28 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Town Committee Oversight -RT. 3A is meeting at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall executive meeting room. The Land Use Committee is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room in the Town Hall Annex. Ways & Means is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
  • Candidate Afternoon: The Burlington Council on Aging is holding a Candidate Afternoon with candidates from the upcoming Burlington town election at 3 p.m. today. The event will be at the Council on Aging in the Human Services Building.
  • Internet basics: Do you or someone you know need some help navigating the web? The Burlington Public Library hosting a "Navigating the Net" program at 1:15 p.m. today that will cover websites and search engines. Classes are free but all must register by calling 781-270-1691 or come to the reference desk on the second floor.
  • Weight Watchers: There will be a Weight Watchers meeting at 5:30 p.m. this evening in the Burlington American Legion. "Come and find help and support on your weight loss journey from your local team at Weight Watchers."
