5T: Exercise Version of Ballet, Storytimes and Weight Watchers

Today is Wednesday, May 8. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Afternoon showers: Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect showers after 2 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 71 degrees. Showers likely tonight with a possible thunderstorm late into the night. Low around 53 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Council on Aging is meeting at 4 p.m. in the senior center area of the Human Services Building. The Capital Budget Committee is meeting at 4:30 p.m. at the Burlington High School practice field. The Land Use Committee is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall basement lounge. The Grand View Farm Advisory Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room. Ways & Means is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
  • Weight Watchers: There will be a Weight Watchers meeting at 5:30 p.m. this evening in the Burlington American Legion. "Come and find help and support on your weight loss journey from your local team at Weight Watchers."
  • Ballet exercise: Miss Louise's School of Dance is holding a Barre Ballet, an exercise form of ballet, class at 6 p.m. this evening. Drop-ins welcome. Cost is $15.
  • Storytimes: The Burlington Public Library is holding two storytimes for the little ones today. The first is Toddler Storytime at 10:30 a.m. for children 18-36 months of age. The second is PreSchool Storytime at 11 a.m. for children 3 to 6 years of age.
