Today is Friday, March 15. Here are 5 things you need to know:
- Cloudy and windy: Looks like a gray and blustery day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a chance of sprinkles after 5 p.m. Otherwise cloudy skies with a high near 42 degrees. Windy with gusts as high as 23 miles per hour. A chance of rain showers and flurries before 8 p.m. tonight. Overnight low around 26 degrees.
- Public meeting: The Disability Access Commission is meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the Recreation Meeting Room in the Human Resources Building.
- Voter registration: The deadline to vote in Burlington's Town Election on Saturday, April 6 is today. Register to vote at the Town Clerk's office in Town Hall. Town Hall will be open until 8 p.m. to give people more time to register. Click here for more information.
- Recreation night: The American Caner Society Relay For Life of Burlington team, Shoot for a Cure, will be hosting a March Madness Rec Night fundraiser for 6th and 7th graders at 6 p.m. tonight in the Human Services Building. There will be music and basketball shooting contests with prizes. Wear your green attire, maybe your favorite Celtics shirt. Snacks, drinks, and novelties will be available for purchase. Admission is $8.00 and all proceeds will benefit the Relay For Life of Burlington.
- Swim club deal: The Burlington Swim and Tennis Club is offering a special during the month of March. Anyone who joins this months can pay for a family membership in three installments of $283. The membership is for the whole family, no matter how many people are in it.
