Burlington Police: Be Wary of Door-to-Door Solicitors
The Burlington Police Department has received many complaints of solicitors in neighborhoods.

The Burlington Police Department is warning residents to be wary of door-to-door salespeople peddling phones, internet and cable services.
The department posted a notice on its Facebook page concerning solicitors and said many of the people who work for the company in question have records.
"We have received complaints of door-to-door solicitors in the area selling phone, internet and cable services," the post states. "While checking these complaints we have learned that several solicitors working for this subcontracted company have lengthy criminal records."
Police said residents are advised to be wary of giving any personal information out to these sales people and to be very careful about letting them into your homes.
"We are also asking to watch for any suspicious behavior if these people are in your neighborhood," the post states. "Please call the police right away if you have any aggressive salespeople at your door who are refusing to leave or if you see any of these people going behind your home or a neighbors home."
