Here is your chance for some to share what you remember about old Burlington, and for some to enjoy learning about Burlington in older times. How many times has someone told you something about buildings, farms and country stores, and you have said, “I didn’t know that”. It happens to me frequently. It would be great if you could bring any pictures or items you might have to share at the meeting. This will be a fun meeting.
Remember, much of Burlington’s past was lost in two fires. The first fire was in the late 1800’s in the parsonage where all records were kept in those days. The second fire was in 1970, when the then library was used by the police department while their new quarters were being built. Much of Burlington’s records and historical papers and artifacts were lost in this fire as well. The building was restored by the Commission and is now our museum.

So maybe we can fill in some of the blanks at our “Trivia Meeting”. There are folks in town who have so much of that knowledge, and folks in town who probably have questions, or just want to learn about Burlington’s past. It’s your town!
