Thursday, May 28
8:26 a.m. - Dead possum on the sidewalk in the area of Wilmington Road at 99 Jonathan Road
10:35 a.m. - Caller reports a dog locked in car and may be in distress in the area of 11 Alma Road. Officers assisted.

11:21 a.m. - Resident called police from NY concerned about her residence because her vehicle was broken into and registration was taken or tampered with. House checks secure.
3:38 p.m. - Caller reports she lost her tennis bracelet in the parking lot of Roche Bros., 34 Cambridge St., on May 27. Bracelet was reported to be valued at $4,000.

3:51 p.m. - Burlington Police assisted Massachusetts State Police with vehicle examination at Ned’s Towing.
5:04 p.m. - Caller reports a loose dog running around the parking lot area of St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St. Patrol units unable to locate.
5:52 p.m. - J.Crew store manager reports past theft of merchandise from the store. A unit was dispatched to the store.
5:57 p.m. - Caller reports a tree fell across electrical wires in the area of 8 Manhattan Drive and the wires are sparking. Eversource was dispatched to area. They removed tree limbs from power lines. DPW notified about debris in roadway.
7:42 p.m. - Barnes and Noble Manager reports an attempted theft. Manager told police he’s familiar with suspect. Police report an unknown party left store today without any merchandise. Manager states they do believe he is the same individual has stolen in the past. Manager was advised to contact police should he return so they can make a proper identification.
10:39 p.m. - A large snapping turtle could not get over the curb on Mall Road. Officers helped the turtle.
