Police Logs: Alleged Shoplifter Arrested, Mailbox Damaged

Burlington Police Department logs for Feb. 9 to 10.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 9

  • At 12:30 p.m. a caller reported his credit card was fraudulently used on multiple occasions in October and November. Total amount of charges was $4021.83.
  • At 1:33 p.m. a caller on Pine Glen Way reported a quad pulling a sled in the roadway. Police saw tracks in the snow but did not see the quad.
  • At 3:07 p.m. a Skilton Lane caller reported their vehicle was stolen sometime between midnight and 4:30 a.m. that morning.
  • At 7:52 p.m. a Ruthven Avenue caller reported a plow struck his girlfriend's vehicle.

  • At 9:42 a.m. an Admore Avenue caller stated his neighbor smashed his mailbox and threatened him. Log states the mailbox was damaged by Paul Liotine Painting and Plowing and that $200 was paid to the caller for the damage.
  • At 1:24 p.m. a Skilton Lane caller reported finding suspicious items in the trunk of his vehicle, including an empty holster, a piece of something that appeared to be from a handgun and a gun permit that belongs to a neighbor. Police spoke to the neighbor and items checked okay. Piece of material was from a tool and not a gun.
  • At 5:25 p.m. police arrested Ebru Korbek-Erdogmus, 37, of 907 Main St., Apartment 1, Winchester, on a charge of larceny over $250. Arrest made following shoplifting complaint by Lord & Taylor.
