Police Logs: Home Break-in Reported, Two Men Seen Pulling Car Door Handles at Wayside
Burlington Police Department logs for March 9 to 10.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
March 9
- At 6:12 p.m. a Michele Drive caller reported hearing what he thought were two gun shots. Police checked area and did not locate or hear anything.
- At 8:33 p.m. a Creston Avenue caller reported their home was broken into while they were not at home.
- At 8:43 p.m. a Peach Orchard Road caller reported a past breaking and entering. Entry gained through back door and numerous items stolen.
- At 8:50 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington woman on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield at an intersection.

- At 8:50 a.m. a Westwood Street caller reported damage to his lawn. Damage was done by a DPW snow blower used on the sidewalks. No malicious intent and caller advised to call DPW.
- At 11:27 a.m. a Peach Orchard Road caller reported another driver beeped his horn at her and then pulled in front of her vehicle, stopped, and yelled at her.
- At 12:47 p.m. a caller from Homestead Studio Suites reported a theft from the laundry room. Caller said a male in his 50s who is likely homeless came into the laundry room with a male in his 20s. The men had a master key and stole approximately $200 in quarters.
- At 2:02 p.m. a Beacon Village caller reported someone broke into her motor vehicle. The front drivers side window was smashed. Nothing taken from the vehicle but the battery lead wire was cut.
- At 3:34 p.m. a Winn Street caller reported someone drove into his fence and left the area. The fence and fence posts were damaged.
- At 5:22 p.m. a caller reported her ex-husband struck their 4-year-old daughter while she was in his custody. Police interviewed all parties and referred the case to the Department of Children and Families. No marks on daughter where she was allegedly struck.
- At 5:26 p.m. a caller at Wayside reported two white males, approximately 20 years old, were pulling the handles on motor vehicle. One was wearing a black ski jacket and jeans and the other was wearing a light-blue jacket, jeans and a baseball cap. Police checked area but didn't see anyone matching the description.
- At 6:44 p.m. Lord & Taylor loss prevention reported a past shoplifting incident. Several items stolen.
- At 9:17 p.m. a caller at the Marriott Hotel reported someone stole both license off his license plate while it was parked in the lot.
