Police Logs: Laptop Stolen After Youth Party, Vehicle Keyed

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 24

  • At 1:27 a.m. police issued a citation after pulling over a vehicle and finding an open container in the possession of a rear seat passenger. A small amount of fireworks were also removed from the vehicle. Parents were called to pick up minors and the vehicle.
  • At 1:55 a.m. a Princeton Road caller reported hearing what sounded like a young girl screaming outside. Police checked the area but did not find anyone.
  • At 5:47 a.m. a Farms Drive caller reported a neighbor had loud music playing for the past 4-5 hours. Police spoke to resident and advised them to shut the music off the night.
  • At 8:03 a.m. a Phillip Avenue caller reported a stolen laptop. Caller said that there was a party of youths at the house the night before with 10-15 people that were unknown and uninvited. Parents were not home at the time of the party when the laptop was stolen.
  • At 11:04 a.m. a caller at Macy's reported they locked themselves out their vehicle and they had a baby locked inside. Police assisted in gaining access to the vehicle.
  • At 12:59 p.m. Burlington Mall security reported a hit and run accident. Minor damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.
  • At 2:03 p.m. Millipore, at 186 Middlesex Turnpike, security reported a group of youths skateboarding in the parking lot and refusing to leave. Youths sent on their way without incident.
  • At 7:37 p.m. a caller at Market Basket reported his vehicle was keyed while parked. A two-foot scrape was left on the right side of the vehicle.
