Police Logs: Man Arrested for Assault and Battery, Car Break-in With Laptop Stolen

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 15

• At 2:21 a.m. police arrested Richard Ssenyonga, 43, of 611 Farms Drive, Burlington on a charge of assault and battery. Arrest made after a caller stated she was assaulted by him.
• At 7:32 a.m. a man came to the station to state an ex-employee had been sending threatening texts in regards to getting his job back. The man wanted the issue logged but did not want to press charges at the time.
• At 2:56 p.m. a Waite Avenue caller reported receiving a phone call from someone who made threats that they were going to send the police and IRS to his house. Police report states this is a phone scam.
• At 4:31 p.m. a Lexington Street caller reported youths throwing snowballs at vehicles. Police spoke to three youths in the area who stated they were not throwing snow ball. Police advised them anyway.
• At 10:40 p.m. a Lee Avenue caller reported his house was egged.

March 16

• At 1:13 p.m. a caller reported that while driving from Winn Street onto Route 128 he struck a branch in the road that did damage to the front of his car.
• At 3:03 p.m. a caller at Barnes & Noble reported someone broke into his motor vehicle. A rear window was blown out and a $700 laptop was stolen.
