Police Logs: Man Arrested for Resisting Arrest, Pistol Stolen from Residence

Burlington Police Department logs for March 22 to 23.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 22

  • At 8:42 a.m. a Wall Street caller reported someone cut the catalytic converter from his vehicle while it was parked in a lot.
  • At 11:41 a.m. a caller from Lahey Clinic reported the past theft of a Kindle e-reader. Another patient found the Kindle and returned it security.
  • At 4:01 p.m. a caller at Burlington Car Wash reported being pushed by an employee after a dispute about getting his money back. Caller left and then returned with spots on his vehicle. A manager attempted to rewash the vehicle for free but the caller refused. Police advised him to seek a civil complaint.
  • At 5:09 p.m. a woman came to the station to report someone stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle while it was parked at the Macaroni Grill. Police have issued a special alert on this issue.
  • At 6:13 p.m. police arrested Jarrod Michael Gustafson, 35, of 92 N. Main St., North Easton on a charge of uttering a false prescription. Arrest made after a CVS on Cambridge Street employee reported a male party attempted to fill a prescription with a possible stolen notepad.
  • At 8:34 p.m. an Anthropologie employee reported approximately $600 in merchandise stolen. Seven sweaters valued at $88 each were stolen at about 6 p.m.
  • At 10:50 p.m. a Border Cafe manager reported a stolen wallet. Passport and $110 in cash taken.

March 23

  • At 2:29 a.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on charges of assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order. Summons issued after a Kimbal CT caller reported her boyfriend violated a restraining order.
  • At 11:48 a.m. a manager from Lenscrafters in the Burlington Mall reported several pairs of frames were stolen the day before. 
  • At 2:26 p.m. a manager from Newbury Comics reported a male attempted to leave the store with a pair of head phone valued at $24.99. Store trespassed the male from the store.
  • At 7:08 p.m. police arrested Nicholas Andrew Badgley, 42, of 141 South St., Waltham on a charge of resisting arrest. Police made arrest after a caller reported a domestic incident by her intoxicated boyfriend.
  • At 8:17 p.m. police issued a summons to an Everett woman on a charge of evading a taxi fare. Summons issued after a cab driver said a female passenger that he transported from Boston went into the Burlington Mall without paying.
  • At 8:50 p.m. a Lexington Street caller reported a 9mm pistol was stolen from their residence.
