Police Logs: Many Reports of Credit Card Fraud, Milk-Spilling Internet Meme Reported at Grocery Store

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 4

• At 2:06 a.m. a caller from Heritage at Stone Ridge Apartment reported a water leak from a second floor unit.
• At 7:18 a.m. a Sunset Drive caller reported a group of youths that appeared to be smoking were near the path to the high school. Police checked area but no one was in the area.
• At 10:29 a.m. a Pontos Avenue caller reported a someone used her credit card without permission.
• At 10:58 a.m. a caller reported she had brought her cell phone to the I Fix It and Repair at the Burlington Mall and the store accidentally released it to the wrong person. The male who had it in his possession was refusing to return it.
• At 12:07 p.m. a Gedick Road caller reported someone used his credit card without permission.
• At 12:16 p.m. a Sheldon Street caller reported someone used his credit card without permission.
• At 1:42 p.m. a Wilmington Road caller said someone charged his bank card fraudulently at a store in Texas.

March 5

• At 11:03 a.m. a Eugene Road caller reported a motor vehicle left in their driveway.
• At 11:10 a.m. a Mass. Hospital Association caller reported kids had vandalized the building with graffiti.
• At 12:22 p.m. a Burlington High School student reported his iPad was stolen the day before from the school cafeteria. 
• At 1:55 p.m. a caller from Market Basket reported her vehicle was struck while parked in the parking lot. Accident caused a scratch on the right rear quarter.
• At 6:33 p.m. a caller from Shaw's reported three female youths were in the store and playing a game of smashing gallons of milk on the floor and pretending they slipped. Caller said this is a popular internet meme. The three girls were gone when police arrived.
• At 7:08 p.m. a Savin Street caller reported that his bank alerted him that $500 was withdrawn from his account.
