Police Logs: Multiple Reports of Identity Theft, Possible Breaking and Entering

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 6

• At 12:49 p.m. a Julia Connors Drive caller reported his neighbor was harassing him by making threatening comments after a court hearing earlier in the day.
• At 2:53 p.m. a Mill Street caller reported finding three hypodermic needles. Needles seized by police.
• At 4:01 p.m. a University Avenue caller reported someone used his personal information and stole money from his bank account. Caller had already contacted bank to have issue resolved.
• At 5:10 p.m. a Mill Street caller reported a possible breaking and entering. She said the back door to her home was open and a window was broken.
• At 7:09 p.m. a caller from Macy's reported two females stole several pairs of jeans and fled the store.
• At 7:53 p.m. a caller from the Burlington Mall reported his cell phone was stolen. Caller went to the Apple Store to have it traced and it was traced to a Burlington residence. Phone was recovered and returned to owner.

March 7

• At 3:19 a.m. a caller from the Shell station on Middlesex Turnpike reported a customer opened food and refused to pay for it. According to the report a customer dropped a muffin on the counter and wanted a new one but the clerk insisted customer pay for dropped muffin. Customer paid and left before police arrived.
• At 12:22 p.m. a Meadowvale Road caller reported their mailbox was damaged by a silver motor vehicle. The caller said the vehicle left behind part of the front bumper and several pieces of clear and yellow lenses from the lights.
• At 5:03 p.m. caller reported that she was tricked into giving personal information and there was an attempted charge of $498 on her credit card.
• At 10:19 p.m. a caller at Homestead Studio Suites reported two suspicious people in the parking area. Police identified the two parties and found a small amount of marijuana, which was confiscated to be destroyed.
