Police Logs: Purse Stolen at Restaurant, Multiple Complaints Against Neighbors

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

April 28

  • At 1:34 a.m. police assisted a motorist who ran out of gas on Lexington Street. Police helped push the vehicle into a parking lot and in getting a fill-up.
  • At 9:33 a.m. a Westwood Street caller reported a man firing a bb or pellet gun off his back deck. Man was shooting a target with his son. Police advised him to stop and he said he would.
  • At 10:37 a.m. a caller at the Burlington Mall reported a tree on fire. It was a mulch fire on the on-ramp to Middlesex Turnpike that Burlington Fire handled.
  • At 12:48 p.m. a Hampden Avenue caller reported a neighbor throwing branches on his yard. Police advised neighbor.
  • At 1:46 p.m. a caller at Rahanis Park reported a teenager driving a four-wheeler around the park where children were playing. The four-wheeler was gone when police arrived.
  • At 2:09 p.m. a University Avenue caller reported two baseball gloves and a baseball bat were stolen sometime between April 22 and April 23.
  • At 4:14 p.m. a Farms Drive caller reported her neighbor was yelling vulgar things at her from his porch. This is an ongoing issue.
  • At 4:25 p.m. a woman came to the station to report that her wallet was stolen while she was at Panera Bread at around 2 p.m.
  • At 4:53 p.m. a caller reported her daughter's iPhone was stolen at Urban Outfitters in the Burlington Mall.
  • At 5:32 p.m. a Sunset Drive caller reported a car has driven over her lawn multiple times over the past few months.
  • At 6:03 p.m. a Dennis Drive caller reported kids in the woods smoking marijuana. Police spoke to a group of youths in back of Pine Glen School who checked okay and were sent on their way.
