Police Logs: Stolen Credit Card Used to Buy $902 Computer, Pit Bull Chases Children

Burlington Police Department logs for March 25 to 26.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 25

  • At 7:34 a.m. a Muller Road caller reported continued harassment.
  • At 10:06 a.m. a Phillip Avenue caller reported that they reported a laptop stolen the day before and it had been returned. Caller doesn't want any further action.
  • At 10:46 a.m. a caller reported her wallet was stolen while she was at the Burlington Mall the day before.
  • At 11:36 a.m. a woman came to the station to report her credit card was stolen at the Burlington Mall and used at the Apple Store. A $902 computer was purchased with her card.
  • At 4:20 p.m. Lord & Taylor loss prevention reported the store got confirmation that a purchase on March 23 was done fraudulently with a credit card.
  • At 5:53 p.m. a caller reported he lost his school-issued iPad on March 20 and that it might have been stolen.

  • At 1:22 p.m. a caller at the Chipotle Mexican Grill reported a hit and run accident.
  • At 2:47 p.m. a Mountain Road caller reported her son stole property from her house.
  • At 3:43 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of threat to commit a crime. Summons issued after a caller reported a past threat.
  • At 4:31 p.m. a Cambridge Street caller reported their vehicle was struck by a black Dodge Durango that left the area. Minor damage done to victim's vehicle. Police spoke to suspect who agreed to exchange paperwork.
  • At 5:39 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failing to stop/yield. Summons issued following a motor vehicle stop.
  • At 5:51 p.m. a Laurel Lane caller reported a pit bull in the area was chasing his children and dog. The caller had the dog in his yard and was looking for assistance. Dog was returned to owner.
