Friday, April 17

6:26 a.m. - Greenwood Road resident requested the Fire Department come check the inside of her home, same stated the inside had a smell of fire but could not find the origin. Fire Department notified and responded. Smell was coming from a faulty light bulb.

10:35 a.m. - Report of smoke in the building at Cooperative Elder Services, 37 B St. Fire Department handled.

11:09 a.m. - Caller reports a telephone pole on fire on Oxbow Lane. Police and Fire dispatched. NSTAR handled.

3:02 p.m. - Caller concerned that five young men threw a 2 liter bottle of soda at the geese in the area of Long’s Jewelers, 60 South Ave. The youth were advised by police.

5:24 p.m. - Officer reports being flagged down by Burlington Mall security in regards to a potential shoplifter. Owner of the Bamboo, Pillows and Sheets kiosk reports four pillows stolen at approximately 1:30 p.m.

5:28 p.m. - Caller reports youths climbing up onto the roof of the Francis Wyman School, 41 Terrace Hall Ave. Two youths were practicing their. Officers advised youths to stay off the rooftops and of the risk in jumping off high buildings.

5:54 p.m. - Bedford Street homeowner reports damage to mailbox.

11:37 p.m. - Caller reports someone hit the traffic light in the area of Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, 41 Mall Road, and left the area. Same stated debris was scattered across the roadway. Diagle electric notified.
