Buses Again Replacing T from Harvard to Alewife This Weekend

Make your travel plans accordingly.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Riders in Cambridge and Somerville should again plan their weekend Red Line trips with this in mind: buses will be replacing the T between Harvard and Alewife Station this weekend, and one more in the near future.

This weekend's bus shuttle replacement runs from start to end of service on Nov. 19 and 20.

It's part of the MBTA's "Floating Slab Project" (more on that here) and will impact service in both directions on the following dates:

  • Saturday, November 19, 2016 and Sunday, November 20, 2016
  • Saturday, November 26, 2016 and Sunday, November 27, 2016

Regular Red Line train service will resume at the start of service on the following Monday.

All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities.
