Arrest Made In Unprovoked Attack On Woman At MBTA Station: Police
A 67-year-old woman sustained head injuries after she told police a man randomly grabbed her by the neck and shoved her to the ground.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A man in his fifties was identified and arrested by Transit police in connection to an unprovoked attack near the MBTA's Alewife Station in Cambridge Monday.
Alexandr Ivanenko, 53, with no recent address, was arrested and taken to Transit Police headquarters Thursday night near Hancock Street in Quincy.
Last Monday police responded to a report of a 67-year-old woman who said she had been assaulted by a white man who she believed to be in his early 50s at 8:36 a.m.

The woman told police she had been walking alone into the Alewife Station near the main entrance when a man walking in the opposite direction suddenly reached out, grabbed her by the neck, and threw her to the ground, completely unprovoked.
The woman sustained head injuries but is expected to survive.

Ivaneko is being charged with aggravated assault.
