Billerica Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Rindge Ave. in Cambridge
A Billerica man was robbed at gunpoint while on his way to work in Cambridge on Oct. 4.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Officers responded to an armed robbery on Rindge Avenue. The victim, a Billerica man in his 40s, had no visible images and described the suspect as a black male in his early 20’s with an average build, wearing dark clothing and a dark bandana covering his hair.
On Oct. 4, Cambridge Police officers responded to a call for armed robbery just after 6 a.m.
While other officers searched the area for a suspect, Officer Dan McGinty spoke to the victim who stated that his wife dropped him off at the corner of Rindge and Sherman Street for work.

While he was on the way to get a coffee prior to work, the suspect came up behind him and demanded his wallet.

According to the police report, the suspect first though it was a friend joking with him. But, when he turned around he saw the suspect, a black male, approximately 5' 8", wearing dark clothing and bandanna covering his hair, pointing a silver glock handgun in his face.
The victim told police he gave the gunman his cell phone and a pack of cigarettes. At that time, another suspect ran up to him from the area of Clifton Street and punched him in the face.
The victim reported the second suspect was a black male with an average build, approximately 6 feet tall.
After falling to the ground, the victim saw a black four door sedan pick up the two suspects. The victim reported he could not see the license plate or the driver.
In the shuffle to depart the scene, the first suspect dropped the victim's phone. After getting up, he recovered it and used it to call police.
EMS responders checked out the victim, who reported no visible injuries but believe the punch may have chipped a back tooth.
