Cambridge Police Arrest Boston Man For September Shooting

A Boston man was arrested on Thursday in connection with a Cambridge shooting in September.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Cambridge Police announced today they arrested of a Boston resident, who was allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting that took place on Tuesday, Sept. 5 in the Auburn Street and River Street area.

According to Cambridge Police Dept. spokesperson Jeremy Warnick, police arrested Antoine Brown, 25, 97 Monsignor Patrick J Lydon Way in Boston on Thursday afternoon.

Brown is being charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Murder and other firearms-related charges. Cambridge Police rounded up Brown with support from the U.S. Marshalls.

As a result of September 5th shooting incident, two young males in their 20s sustained non-life threatening injuries. Officers believed it was a targeted shooting.

“Our officers and law enforcement partners conducted a thorough investigation to identify this suspect and have been relentless in their pursuit of him,” said Police Commissioner Branville G. Bard. “I am incredibly proud to report that all of the suspects wanted in the three separate shooting incidents on September 5th and September 10th have now all been identified and taken into custody.”

Brown is expected to be arraigned tomorrow in Cambridge District Court.
