Cambridge Residents Invited to View Plans for Binney St. and Triangle Park

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Cambridge residents are invited to learn about the design and plans for Binney Street and Triangle Park along the Grand Junction rail corridor.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Cambridge Police Station, 125 6th St., Cambridge.

According to a release from the Cambridge Community Development Corporation, Binney Street Park will include a segment of the planned Grand Junction Greenway shared use path, a fenced dog run, and a hardscape plaza.

Triangle Park, which is located between Edwin H. Land Boulevard, First Street and Binney Street, will feature a hardscape plaza with a variety of seating, a passive water plaza feature, landscape planting, and an overlook with a view to the Charles River.

The park designs and refinements have been guided by the Eastern Cambridge/Kendall Open Space Study/Connect Kendall Square Open Space Competition and Framework Plan, and shaped by input from the community.
