Cambridge School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The first day of school in Cambridge is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Cambridge School Distirct has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/4: First Day of School (Grades 1-12)
• 9/6: First Day of School (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
• 9/18: Early Release (JK-5 and Upper Schools)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Veterans Day)
• 10/24: Early Release (JK-5 and Upper Schools)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21: Early Release
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/23: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/12: Early Release (JK-5 and Upper Schools)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/15: Early Release (JK-5 and Upper Schools)
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/5: No School (Eid al-Fitr)
• 6/6: CRLS Graduation
• 6/12: Early Release (JK-5 Schools Only)
• 6/17: Last Day of School/Early Release (All Schools JK-12)
