Cambridge Trash, Recycling Pickup Delayed for Thanksgiving Week

Cambridge residents can expect trash and recycling pick up to resume the Friday after Thanksgiving.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - The City of Cambridge offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Today, the City announced there will be no trash/recycling pickup or street cleaning in Cambridge on Thursday only.

Service will resume on Friday and pickup routes for both Thursday and Friday will be one day behind schedule.

Street Cleaning for the odd side of District K will be posted & swept on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

The Recycling Drop Off Center at 147 Hampshire Street will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will be open with regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Cambridge Cemetery at 76 Coolidge Avenue will have the gates open from 7 a.m. until dusk on Thanksgiving and Friday, Nov. 24, however, the Cemetery Administrative Office will be closed both days.
