Central Square Business Improvement District Announces Asian-Inspired Night Market to Return September 20th!

Central Sq Night Market! Food trucks, live music, a beer garden & games. Sept 20, 5-10PM. Free event for all ages!

The Central Square Business Improvement District is set to present the second annual Asian-inspired Central Square Night Market on Saturday, September 20 at University Park. Hosted in partnership with the Boston Night Market team known for curating high‑energy, multicultural events, the night brings the excitement of Asia’s bustling street markets to Cambridge, creating a space where neighbors, visitors, and businesses connect. The Central Square Night Market is free and open to the public. More details are available at centralsq.org.

The one‑night celebration will offer a lively beer garden and delicious food from over 30 local vendors and food trucks, including everything from Uyghur hand-pulled noodles and Jamaican classics to South Asian street food and sweet treats, that reflect Cambridge’s global community. Participating vendors and food trucks Rensauce BBQ, Tandoor and Curry On Wheels, Frosty Ice Cream, The Kettle King, Silk Road Uyghur Cuisine, Room 4 Sweets, Bake & Bites, R&S Jamaican Restaurant, Hetty Sweets and Savory Foods, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to shop unique retail offerings alongside food, featuring local makers and small businesses.

In addition to food, drinks, and shopping, guests will experience cultural showcases, interactive games, lantern-lit spaces, and immersive photo installations designed to capture the energy of Asia’s iconic night markets. Select Markets will be hosting a vintage popup in the beer garden with 25+ vintage vendors, and there will be live sets from 20-year-plus veteran of Underground Hip-Hop, Aztech of the Boston/Japan-based group Hybrid Thoughts; hip hop artist Kold Kwan; Boston-based DJ, vocalist, and songwriter Saucy Lady; and contemporary electric violinist + DJ Violin ViiV
