East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival returns Sept 21, featuring live music, dance performances, and local food in a free event.

East Boston, MA - August 21, 2024** – The East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival is set to return on Saturday, September 21, 2024, transforming East Boston Memorial Park into a vibrant celebration of Latin American culture. Now in its third year, the festival promises a day filled with the *Sonidos De La Gente* (Sounds of the People), featuring a diverse lineup of local artists and dance groups performing across two stages from 1:00 to 7:30 PM. Best of all, this family-friendly event is completely FREE.
Organized by Senator Lydia Edwards’ office in collaboration with ZUMIX, the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, East Boston Main Streets, and the City of Boston, the festival will showcase a rich tapestry of Latin music and dance.
The 2024 lineup includes the salsa rhythms of Puerto Rican singer, composer, and bandleader Jesus Pagan y su Orquesta, the vibrant Colombian beats of La Rockola, the dynamic Veronica Robles’ Mariachi Band, and the unique Andean sounds of Omar Clavijo y su Son Latino. Youth musicians from ZUMIX will also take the stage, adding their fresh talent to the mix.

Dance enthusiasts will be treated to performances by Salsa y Control, Samba Viva, Bajucol folkloric dancers, and the youth dancers from the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, each bringing their unique styles and cultural traditions to life.
In addition to the music and dance, festival-goers can savor delicious food and drinks from local and independent restaurants, offering a true taste of Latin America.

The East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival will be held at East Boston Memorial Park, a scenic location conveniently located near the MBTA Airport Station on the Blue Line and the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation, including the MBTA East Boston ferry, to make the most of this exciting event.
