Halloween Costumes 2017: Most Popular In Massachusetts

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Teaming up with Frightgeist, Google recently released a list of the top Halloween costumes for 2017. Superhero costumes continue to be very popular, particularly in the Bay State.

People looking for costumes in the Boston area filed more searches for the Wonder Woman costume than any other. People in the area of Springfield searched for a unicorn costume. No explanation there.

Topping the list nationally is Wonder Woman, the DC Comics character who scored a huge box office hit over the summer. Harley Quinn, another female anti-hero from the DC Comics catalog secured the second spot on the list.

Aside from a few trends due to popular movies (Moana, It) the list is fairly standard with unicorn, rabbit, witch, mouse, pirate and zombie all falling into the top 10.
