Iconic Cambridge Restaurant Craigie on Main Up For Sale
The popular restaurant went on "pause" in August and has yet to reopen.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Chef Tony Maws' beloved Cambridge restaurant Craigie on Main is up for sale.
Listed with an asking price of $500,000, the restaurant has been temporarily closed since August 2021. But listing the restaurant doesn't necessarily mean the end, Maws said his landlord is understanding of the situation and that he may continue to operate in the space — but with a new concept.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Craigie on Main offered outdoor dining in a parking lot patio and takeout.

The bistro offers a full bar and open kitchen with a 1:00 a.m. Liquor License. With an asking price of only $500,000, historic sales were in excess of $4 million.
Known for its nationally-acclaimed burger, Craigie on Main branched out with Craigie Burger at Time Out Market in 2019, but it closed a year later.

Open since 2008, the popular spot in Central Square also has national acclaim. Maws told The Boston Globe he "put it on the market to see what the value is and if there's an option that involves selling," and noted how he was enjoying spending more time with family.
