A resident of the home called police to report they heard glass breaking around 4:35 a.m. on Sept. 29 and police responded shortly after.
"They discovered an unknown suspect had thrown a large brick through their living room window, shattered it and caused damage to a chair," Cambridge Police spokesperson Jeremy Warnick said.

The suspect, later identified as DePina, then used a trash barrel to lift himself up onto the window ledge and grabbed an Apple MacBook Air from a table next to the window.
Police said they were able to collect fingerprints and have them examined by the Cambridge Police Crime Scene Services Unit, which verified they belonged to DePina.
DePina is expected to be arraigned today in Cambridge District Court. Police have had a number of dealings with him in the past. He was suspected in January for a rash of home break ins around Cambridge.
