Malden Man Held Up at Gunpoint in Cambridge Robbery

CAMBRIDGE, MA - A Malden man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint last week in Cambridge.

According to police, the 22-year-old Malden resident said he was robbed by a man with a gun on Franklin Street just before 1 p.m. on Nov. 20.

According to a police report, the victim said he was walking on Franklin Street when two men started to follow him.

Shortly after, one of the men pulled a gun on him and demanded money. The victim said he handed over a $100 bill and then turned around and walked the other way on Franklin Street.

He waited until the two suspects were out of sight before calling 911.

The suspect with the gun was described as a Middle Eastern looking man, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a Mohawk-style haircut with hair on top of his head and shaved on the sides, with chin hair, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, skinny jeans and a green and dark blue backpack.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man, approximately 6-feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black Adidas track pants with the Adidas stripes on each side.

The gun was described as a small, shiny, black, semi-automatic handgun, possibly a .22 caliber.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
