Middlesex DA Investigating Fatal Cambridge Crash

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A fatal multi-vehicle crash that took place last week is now under investigation by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
32-year old Lauren Mullins struck 73-year-old Daniel O’Neil with her SUV at the Vassar Street intersection of Massachusetts Avenue last Friday. O’Neil was riding a moped at the time of the crash and was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Mullins was arrested at the scene on the charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor with serious bodily injury and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The Roselle Park, New Jersey native has a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday, March 27. At her arraignment last Friday, Mullins was ordered not to consume alcohol or drugs, not to drive, to remain in Massachusetts and to submit to random drug and alcohol screens.
