New Charges Brought Forth In 2 Cambridge Shootings

The incidents took place in 2021 and 2023.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday that new charges have been brought to two past shooting incidents in Cambridge that took place in 2021 and 2023.

27-year-old Anthony Samuel-Smith and 31-year-old Jameel Taron Clark White have been indicted for an armed robbery and shooting that occurred on March 2, 2021. The incident left one person seriously injured. The two defendants reportedly met with the victim on the corner of Spring Street and Fifth Street where Clark White shot the person and the two stole his vehicle which had large amounts of cocaine and fentanyl inside.

20-year-old Jameel Dorcena was arraigned for a September 28, 2023 shooting in which multiple shots were fired into heavy traffic on Gilmore Bridge. Surveillance video captured Dorcena firing at a person in a nearby vehicle, who returned fire.

Samuel Smith and Clark White’s arraignments are both slated for Wednesday, April 16.
