CAMBRIDGE, MA — Temperatures have dropped below 40 in many places around the region and there are some leaves starting to turn — that means it's fall, and thus cider donut season.

And if you need to find the absolute purest, sweetest cider donuts between Burlington (Vermont) and Barnstable, look no further than Cambridge resident Alex Schwartz's New England Cider Donut Map.

The self-described "plaid-wearing autumn man" has scoured the six New England states to find every farm and farm-adjacent spot selling cider donuts. He also reviews cider donuts on Instagram under the handle Ciderdonuteur.
