Officials Ask For Community Input on Western Avenue Reconstruction
The City of Cambridge is seeking feedback in a survey to area neighbors
CAMBRIDGE — The City of Cambridge recently completed reconstruction of Western Avenue. The project began in 2012, and has caused issues with traffic for several years. The City posts that the survey is "intended to gather feedback from users of Western Avenue." The survey will close on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017. You can also request a paper survey at cstoughton@cambridgema.gov, or call 617-349-6959.
The final elements for the project were the two vehicle travel lanes from Pleasant Street to Blackstone Street, a separated bicycle lane in that area, curb extensions, improved pedestrian crossings, and enlargement to Cronin Park.
