Pamela Means Kicks Off New Monthly Residency at McCarthy’s & Toad

Thrilled to announce: an evening with Pamela Means every third Sunday of the month in residency at McCarthy's & Toad in Cambridge

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and jazz musician Pamela Means is launching a new monthly residency, “An Evening with Pamela Means,” at the newly reopened McCarthy’s & Toad in Porter Square, Cambridge. The series will take place every Third Sunday of the Month, offering an intimate evening of diverse music from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The residency, located directly across from the T station, is set to become a regular fixture on the Boston music scene. The shows will feature a mix of Means's original songs, new and old school classics, jazz standards, and clever covers. The series will also include both solo performances and shows with a full band, as well as special guests from the vibrant Boston music community.

"This is an exciting opportunity to reconnect with Boston musicians and side player pals. Plus a place to show off songwriter friends! Something special and different each month in an ‘adulting-friendly’ 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. early Sunday show time slot," said Means.

The first four dates for the residency are:

  • Sunday, September 21, 2025
  • Sunday, October 19, 2025
  • Sunday, November 16, 2025
  • Sunday, December 21, 2025

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and all ages are welcome. A special discount is available using the coupon code LEZREZ for $12 tickets. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. The venue, located at 1920 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, will have a full bar and dinner menu available.

The residency is part of a busy schedule for the Easthampton, MA-based artist, who has been celebrated for her "stark, defiant songs" by the New York Times and hailed by Curve Magazine as "one of the fiercest guitar players and politically-rooted musicians in the industry today."
