Project Bread Welcomes Christian Miron as VP of Individual Giving
Anti-Hunger Advocate to Lead Fundraising for Make Hunger History Coalition

EAST BOSTON, CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cambridge resident Christian Miron brings nearly two decades of experience in policy, advocacy, and fundraising to his new role as Vice President of Individual Giving at Project Bread, Massachusetts' leading statewide food security organization. Throughout his career, Miron has championed systemic change and worked to empower underserved communities, from his early days with reproductive freedom organizations to his leadership in a nonprofit serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Now, he is focusing his efforts on combating food insecurity and driving lasting impact across the Commonwealth.
"I am thrilled to join Project Bread because child hunger is a policy choice, and everyone deserves access to healthy, nourishing food with dignity," says Miron. "Project Bread’s commitment to combating food insecurity and creating lasting solutions through initiatives like the annual Walk for Hunger and the Make Hunger History Coalition deeply resonates with my passions for making an impact on individuals today while driving systemic change for tomorrow."
In his new role, Miron will help direct fundraising efforts for Project Bread's innovative Make Hunger History Coalition, the first initiative of its kind in Massachusetts. The Coalition unites policymakers, community leaders, philanthropists, business leaders, service providers, and individuals with lived experience of food insecurity to eliminate hunger through policy change, community engagement, and collective action. By supporting the Coalition’s mission and expanding its capacity, Miron will help ensure the nearly 7 million Commonwealth residents can all access affordable, nutritious food, enabling them to thrive in their careers, education, and daily lives.

Outside of work, Miron enjoys spending time with his family, often going for walks with their puppy and attending his child’s youth hockey games. For him, addressing hunger is personal—he is proud each day to see his child and their peers benefit from permanent free school meals for all students, a bill Project Bread successfully advocated for from 2021 to 2023 and saw passed statewide last year.
People experiencing food insecurity should call Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline (1-800-645-8333), which provides confidential, free assistance getting connected to a variety of food resources in 180 languages and for the hearing impaired.
